The leaders of the religious world stray from the Lord's way and follow worldly trends, they also cooperate with the ruling power's wild defiance and condemnation of the Eastern Lightning, and they have already begun to walk the path of opposition to God. The religious world has degenerated into the city of Babylon.

                               Why Has Woe Befallen the Hypocritical Pharisees?

It is recorded in the Bible that the Lord Jesus condemned the Pharisees the Pharisees to seven woes. Nowadays, the path walked by the pastors and elders of the religious world is that of the Pharisees and they similarly suffer God's detestation and rejection. So why did the Lord Jesus condemn and curse the Pharisees? It was primarily because they had a hypocritical essence that defied God, because they only paid attention to performing religious rituals and keeping rules, they only explained the rules and doctrines in the Bible and did not put God's words into practice or follow God's commandments whatsoever, and they even discarded God's commandments. Everything they did completely ran counter to God's will and requirements. This was the hypocritical essence of the Pharisees and it was the primary reason for the Lord Jesus hating and cursing them.

    The Religious Babylon Is Destined to Fall Under God's Wrath

The religious world wildly defies and condemns Almighty God, committing innumerable evil deeds, and they have become Satan's camp that sets itself against God. The great city of religious Babylon is destined to fall under the wrath of God! Revelation predicts, "Alas, alas that great city Babylon, that mighty city! For in one hour is your judgment come" (Revelation 18:10). Almighty God says, "We trust that no country or power can stand in the way of what God wishes to achieve. Those that obstruct God’s work, resist the word of God, disturb and impair the plan of God shall ultimately be punished by God. He who defies the work of God shall be sent to hell; any country that defies the work of God shall be destroyed; any nation that rises up to oppose the work of God shall be wiped from this earth, and shall cease to exist" (The Word Appears in the Flesh).

Like many religious people with faith in the Lord, Elder Li has always felt that "everything in the Bible was inspired by God," "the Bible is the word of God," and "the Bible represents God." These conceptions had long formed the basis for his faith. They had taken root in his heart and had become both an obstacle to his studying the true way as well as bonds that prevented him from accepting the true way. As preachers of the Church of Almighty God patiently read to Elder Li about God's word and fellowshiped with him about the truth, he finally understood that not all of the Bible was inspired by God, but it contains the words of God and the words of man. Elder Li was now free from the bonds and shackles of these religious conceptions.

     God personally gives testimony to everyone He appoints and makes use of. At the very least, they all receive the confirmation of the work of the Holy Spirit, exhibit the fruits of the Holy Spirit's work, and can help God's chosen people receive the provision of life and true shepherding. Because God is righteous and holy, everyone He appoints and uses must accord with God's will. Pastors and elders from the religious world all lack the word of God as testimony, and also lack the confirmation of the work of the Holy Spirit. So how could pastors and elders within the religious world be personally appointed and used by God?
