If the government does leave these people high and dry, many international human rights groups won’t sit idly by. He hopes this type of situation won’t happen.

Christians of The Church of Almighty God Will Be Brutally Persecuted by the CCP Once Repatriated

Christians of The Church of Almighty God Will Be Brutally Persecuted by the CCP Once Repatriated

On January 4, 2018, according to the U.S. State Department, pursuant to the 1998 International Religious Freedom Act, China is re-designated as a “Country of Particular Concern.” This is also the nineteenth consecutive year that China is included in the “Country of Particular Concern” list. At the same time, when the freedom of religious belief in China draws great attention of the U.S. government, the asylum applications of many Christians of The Church of Almighty God who had been persecuted by the CCP, and who had fled abroad to South Korea and European countries, are denied again and again. These governments even issued orders for their deportation and had their Alien Registration Cards withdrawn. Once repatriated to China, these Christians are bound to face the CCP's arrest, torture and imprisonment, even the danger of death. Their situations are critical!

Los Angeles North Hollywood KaPow Intergalactic Film Festival: Musical Xiaozhen's Story Wins Award

Los Angeles North Hollywood KaPow Intergalactic Film Festival: Musical Xiaozhen's Story Wins Award

Xiaozhen's Story, a musical by The Church of Almighty God, has been the object of much attention and praise since its 2015 release, winning multiple awards at international film festivals. In October 2017, the film received nine awards at the Virginia Christian Film Festival, including best director, best feature film, and best musical score. Xiaozhen's Story once again stood out at the US KaPow Intergalactic Film Festival, winning the award for the best foreign experimental feature. This is the eighth time this film has received an award at an international film festival.

The Los Angeles KaPow Intergalactic Film Festival strives to show the best and most creative films from across the world, and in 2017 there were a number of excellent works from every corner of the globe. With its heartfelt enactment and profound content, Xiaozhen's Story was awarded best foreign experimental feature. The festival organizers presented this award to representatives from The Church of Almighty God on the evening of November 15 at the Noho 7 theater in Los Angeles' North Hollywood.

The film sends an important message through the brilliant enactment of the metamorphosis of the Christian Xiaozhen's life: Mankind's greed, vanity, lust for fame and power, and departure from God can only trap us in a bitter struggle from losing our way. Our lives become increasingly empty and painful. It is only God who can save us from the tide of evil, lead us onto the right path in life, and bring us light and joy. The lyrics of this film's theme song, God Is Seeking Your Heart and Your Spirit, were selected from the words of salvation uttered by Christ of the last days. God is waiting for those who long for the light to listen to the voice of the Creator, turn back from their aimless wandering, and gain God's salvation in the last days.

The Chinese Communist Party Uses "Cult" as a Pretext to Persecute Religious Beliefs | Eastern Lightning

Since the Chinese Communist Party took power, it has been frantically suppressing religious beliefs. The Chinese Communist Party's religious policy and China's human rights conditions have been roundly denounced by democratic countries and international human rights organizations. China's definition of "cult" and its use of cult as a pretext to attack religious beliefs have particularly drawn serious doubts and criticisms of the international community. The guests in this episode are Professor Massimo Introvigne, founder and director of the Center for Studies on New Religions in Italy and Professor Holly Folk from the University of Western Washington of the United States. They have an in-depth discussion and exchange of views on the CCP's definition of "cult" and on the issue of the CCP's condemnation of The Church of Almighty God under the pretext of cult. So, how do the professors look at the CCP's use of cult as a pretext to suppress and persecute religious beliefs? Please have a look!
