    Jiang Xinyi is a regional leader of the Church of Almighty God in a particular area in China. She loves the truth and has a sense of righteousness. She has received Almighty God's work of the last days for more than ten years. She understands that only Christ is the truth, the way and the life and that only Christ of the last days, Almighty God can save mankind, free them from sin and guide them onto the right path of human life. As a result, she follows God steadfastly, spreads the gospel and bears witness to God. However, the atheistic government of the Chinese Communist Party persistently captures and persecutes Christians. Jiang Xinyi and a few co-workers had been monitored and followed by the Chinese Communist government for three months. At one of the gatherings, the Chinese Communist government police captured them. In order to seize the church’s financial resources and capture more church leaders, the Chinese Communist government brutally tortured Jiang Xinyi and the others. Their goal was to capture all local churches of Almighty God in one fell swoop. Yet, while facing police brutality, Jiang Xinyi and other Christians were firm and persistent. They stood firm and bore witness for God in the face of Satan. However, the Chinese Communist government was not resigned to defeat. They mobilized high level officials from "610 Office" and brainwashing teachers and religious pastors. They used evil and fallacious doctrines such as atheism, materialism and patriotism as well as despicable methods such as financial enticement and family influence to sway them. If you can see this clearly, you will be able to connect all of the different parts of God, and will cease to place too much of a premium on His work in divinity, and to be too dismissive of His work in humanity, and you will not go to extremes, nor take any detours. Overall, the meaning of the practical God is that the work of His humanity and of His divinity, as directed by the Spirit, is expressed through His flesh, so that people can see that He is vivid and lifelike, and real and actual."

I, formerly a co-worker of the Local Church, returned to Almighty God in December 2001. The following are fragments of my memory of how I resisted Almighty God’s work of the last days and how I accepted it.

The first person who preached Almighty God’s gospel of the last days to me was one of my in-laws. I not only didn’t accept it but also called him blind. And in the next three years I gave him a cold shoulder every time I met him. I also took him as a negative example in my preaching to lecture the other believers, so as to prevent them from accepting the work of the last days of Almighty God. Later, several sisters came to our church to preach the gospel, but I drove them out immediately when I discovered that. My desperate resistance restrained many brothers and sisters, and they dared not accept the true way. What’s more, I followed the “emergency announcement” against Almighty God which was distributed from the above, and made blasphemies and slanders at will and said evil words to attack the believers of Almighty God. And I also said to the believers, “Firstly, the Church of Almighty God only recruits young people but not the old. Secondly, it’s a heresy, a cult, and they always tempt people with money and beauty. Thirdly, they cut off people’s nose, gouge out their eyes, or break their legs.” Moreover, I also invented a lie that two people had been killed at such-and-such a place. This made some believers fearful and trembling, and they dared not come into contact with the preachers of the gospel of the last days. And meanwhile, I dragged one believer who had just accepted Almighty God back to our church…
