Recently, my mother’s health has not been good. It is not very convenient for her to leave the house. Our church leader was afraid that this would interfere with her attending meetings. As a result, he asked me to have meetings with my mother at home. Even though I did not say anything when I heard him say this, inside, I was not very happy. Living abroad, we are quite busy with our work and with things at home and sometimes we don’t have time to read God’s words or attend meetings. I feel that this is not putting God first, however, and I feel in my heart that I owe God. I’d like to ask how we can find a better balance between our work, our families and seeking the truth?

It was particularly after reading the words of Almighty God that Gu Shoucheng discovered that they truly possessed authority and power and that whoever heard them would be convinced, and he became deeply afraid that anyone in the church who read the words of Almighty God would become a believer in Him. He feared that then his status and his living would become unsustainable. So, he discussed this with Elder Wang Sen and others in the church and decided to deceive people with rumors used by the Chinese Communist government attacking and condemning Almighty God. Gu Shoucheng and Wang Sen do their utmost to seal up the church and block the people from accepting the true way, and they even cooperate with the CCP satanic regime to arrest and persecute those who bear witness to Almighty God. Their actions seriously offend God's disposition and are subject to His curse. As Wang Sen is on his way to arrest some people who are spreading the gospel of the kingdom, he gets into a car accident and dies at the scene. Gu Shoucheng is living in fear and desperation and is seized with panic. He frequently says to himself: "Is my condemnation of Almighty God nailing God to the cross again?"

He grasped that the essence of seeking fame and status was following the path of the antichrist. If he did not repent and mend his ways throughout, the final outcome was that he was destined to sink into oblivion. At the same time he saw clearly that faith in God required walking on the road of pursuit of the truth and carrying out his duties with devotion. After that, in fulfilling his duties he attached importance to pursuit of the truth and practicing the truth. Whenever the corrupt disposition of scrambling for fame and status slipped out, he then prayed to God seeking the truth and, accepting the judgment and chastisement of God's words, according to the word of God he practiced forsaking the flesh, and set in order his intention to fulfill his own duty. Regardless of whether or not he had status, he was able most steadfastly to carry out his duties. Gradually he threw off the shackles of status that bound him and he no longer pursued fame and status, having walked on to the correct path of human life of seeking the truth and receiving salvation.

No matter who met any difficulty, others would sincerely fellowship about the truth and help him solve it, without making bargains or seeking rewards. What they lived out was God’s love. There, I received the release and happiness that I had never had. I deeply felt that the Church of Almighty God is a holy pure land and became certain that Almighty God is the only true God who can save men from the abyss of misery. Just when I was enjoying God’s love, the CCP government arrested and persecuted me illegally, breaking my joyful and pleasant life.

Not only would he potentially make less money, he might experience significant losses and risked losing his shop. … In the face of such struggles, would Zhen Cheng be able to run his business with honesty? What sort of unexpected twists and turns will happen in the process? What will be his greatest reward? …
